Mr. Kellner, how did you come to work for Mazars Austria?

I did an internship at Mazars in Vienna in the summer of 2019 - that was a very exciting and informative experience. The management team then asked me if I could imagine starting as an assistant in the Audit Service Line - and I said yes. That was how I started at Mazars Austria.

Why did you decide to begin your career at Mazars?

Mazars gives me the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and earn a salary while studying business management. I am still a full-time student at the University of Economics and Business in Vienna and I work 12 hours a week, which I can organise in consultation with our team. And of course the team spirit in the office in Vienna was also decisive for me. I love the relaxed, informal atmosphere and the helpful attitude among the colleagues. There are also lots of employee events outside regular working hours (smiles).

What is most important to you personally for your career?

That I can get involved and work independently. It feels good to know I was trusted right from the start and that I was allowed to continue working after my internship at Mazars. I have already been allowed to do an inventory and am often taken along to customer meetings. This gives me a good insight into how our customers operate. The longer I'm here at Mazars, the more responsibility I'm given.

What are your personal career goals for the future?

At the moment I would like to gain as much professional experience as possible to enable me to take on a senior management position later.
